Description

Arriving in December.

By the late seventies scrambling and other off-road motorcycle shenanigans had become so ubiquitous that all the major marques were producing powerful dirtbikes. Honda was no exception but it was also keen to cater to two other subsets of riders. Those who wanted something they could take to work Monday to Friday as well, and those who wanted something compact, light and nippy.

And here it is, the XE75, “big” brother to the XE50. 74cc, and weighing in at a piffling 79Kg, the XE was road legal but with the good ground clearance and wide bars you expect from something you want to haul over and around rocks. It also had a bashplate and 5-speed transmission. Should you choose to bikeshare on your commute, you could do so as they kindly fitted it with rear pegs.

This is an all original 1976 (first year) model in red. It is in tidy original condition with the usual signs of age but nothing serious, especially for a 48-year-old dual purpose bike. The red tank with orange Honda wing and decal sits atop a black frame and black exhaust that wends its way behind the rear shock, keeping everything compact.

A classic from the year when the USA turned 200 and Emma Bunton was born.

This bike has been checked by our colleagues in Japan and will go through further checks once it arrives. We will also take fresh photos and video. The listed price is for the bike with all duty paid. UK registration can be arranged for £165. Delivery anywhere.

You can reserve this bike with a fully refundable 30% (£700) deposit. Delivery anywhere.
