Just arrived. January 2025.
Well, we like the rare and the beautiful and we have a bit of both here.
This is the 1982 (first year model) MCX50, a small, cruiser inspired air cooled 2-stroke.
The lines on this bike are a nod to the American chopper with a raked front fork set up, teardrop tank and lipped rear seat. Honda even went as far as to give this wee 50cc cast wheels.
Released at a time when Japan was becoming more and more confident and economically strong and the big four manufacturers were willing and able to produce a swathe of unusual bikes. Hence, a 50cc cruiser with a 2-stroke engine.
Now 42 years old (that’s MOT- and tax-exempt, folks), this black beauty comes with unusual covered handlebars, a semi-double cradle frame, rear rack and shiny chrome exhaust.
This is the first MCX we have brought in and we are unlikely to find another any time soon. As a small, classic commuter or weekend bit of fun, you could do a lot worse.
This bike has been checked by our colleagues in Japan and will go through further checks now that it has arrived.
This bike has been put through the NOVA system. The bike has been fully UK registered, this includes the Dating Certificate, Registration, UK log book and age related number plate. The bike is classed as Historic so it is MOT & Tax exempt.
We can deliver, please confirm your postcode for a quote.
A deposit of 30% will secure the bike, we would not ask for further payment until the bike is ready for collection or delivery. Once the deposit is received we will do a PDI check and valet the bike. If the customer cancels the sale we will refund 50% of the deposit. Road tax & insurance are your responsibility as the new keeper.
